Case Study
From Ordering A Wheelchair
To Strolling
The Mall
M.G. was a 71 year-old widow who reported
suffering from constant, moderate to severe neck, back,
hip and knee pain that interfered with her sleep, daily
routine and ability to exercise. She stated
that these complaints had begun 40 years earlier and
now were completely debilitating. She had experienced
two car accidents and a fall in the shower years earlier,
which inadequately treated over time, were probable
factors in producing her current situation.
Walking, movement, and even waking up aggravated
her condition. She also suffered from a variety
of other symptoms like allergies, depression, insomnia,
nervousness, fatigue and high blood pressure. Ms. G.
had seen two previous chiropractors and her Kaiser
M.D. without significant benefit. She listed eight
medications she was taking in an attempt to manage
her multitude of symptoms. She was worn out
and without much hope of improvement as she prepared
to transition from a walker to a wheelchair.
It was at this time of crisis that her granddaughter,
who had been receiving help with her headaches, encouraged
her to give our specialized work a try. Our
initial evaluation revealed evidence of severe subluxation
(spinal misalignment with nervous system interference).
She began the journey to healing through the basic
temporary correction care described on the “Our
Services” page.
Within the first two to three weeks of gentle
adjustments she was calling her son while shopping
at the mall without her walker and with minimal discomfort.
She continued to improve and stabilize with further
care and the wheelchair idea was only a memory. This
patient also reported significant improvement
with various other aspects of her health such as digestion,
elimination, circulation, breathing, and ability to
sleep.
